Bethany St. John's English School was started in June 1966 the Bethany Ashram Corporate Educational Agency.” Bethany Ashram is a Religious Community of the Orthodox Church. This Institution is an English Medium School aims at the full development of the pupil's moral, intellectual, social and physical capacities.The administration of the school is vested with the above educational agency, the superior of the Bethany Asram, Perunad being the Ex-officio Manager. The school is situated on a beautiful hill (Bethany Hill) in an extensive plot of about 10 acres in the Kunnamkulam town on Trichur-Kunnamkulam Road.

This school has upgraded to the status of Higher Secondary School in 2002. The School was started with an intention to equip our boys and girls to take their due place in modern society. We are inspired by noble ideals.While the scholastic standard is held high, it is also held that true education is more than passing examinations and following a set course of study. Along with intellectual Achievement there must be corresponding development of physical, Moral and spiritual powers.
